Synopsis:
Kothrud to Deccan, as the name suggests, is a dramatic monologue of a young boy travelling from his bike from the quiet area of Kothrud to Deccan, Pune’s most traffic parked area. Even though the city is nothing new to him, he sometimes finds it unfamiliar, surreal and distant.Things he sees as he passes by – construction sites, showrooms, vehicles, signals, pedestrians on footpaths – enter his internal monologue. While contemplating them, he tries to find a connection between his internal and external worlds. He tries to find linearity, familiarity and correlation between himself and his surroundings. Even though this short distance on the bike is a mundane and mechanical journey, his mind transforms its reality.
